Pre-Care

  • To minimize bleeding, please avoid taking anti-inflammatory medication, drinking alcohol or taking fish oil tablets for 3 days prior to your treatment
  • If you have a history of cold sores please take medication for it 2 days prior to treatment
  • Please discontinue use of any retinols, topical antibiotics, exfoliants (AHA, BHA, scrubs), hydroquinone, and benzoyl peroxide for 5 days prior to treatment
  • No Cosmetic Injections (including Botox & Fillers) within the last 14 days

Downtime

Expect 24 hours of downtime. The first 24-48 hrs after your treatment you will experience redness. After a few days your skin may slightly flake. Avoid microneedling if you wish to attend an event within 48-72 hrs post-treatment.

Post-Care (Don't's)

  • Do not use any Alpha Hydroxy Acids, Beta Hydroxy Acid, Retinol (Vitamin A), Vitamin C, scrubs, or anything perceived as ‘active’ or exfoliating skincare for 7 days post-treatment
  • Avoid extended periods in the sun and apply an SPF of 30 or higher every 3 hours when you leave the house
  • Do not go swimming for at least 24 hours post-treatment
  • No makeup, sweating, exercising or strenuous activity for the first 24 hours post-treatment. Sweating and gym environments are harmful, rife with bacteria, and may cause adverse reactions
  • Avoid touching the skin

Post-Care (Do's)

Immediately After

  • Change your pillowcase
  • Avoid sun exposure - stay inside or wear a hat
  • Hale Derma is highly recommended post-needling as it kills any bacteria and helps speed up recovery time
  • Before bed, (with clean hands) wash your face with lukewarm water and immediately apply hale derma spray and a pure hyaluronic acid serum

24 Hrs After

  • You can wash your face with a gentle cleanser and use a nourishing moisturizer
  • Keep skin as hydrated and moisturized as possible
  • Use a high-protection zinc (mineral) sunscreen when outdoors and avoid prolonged sun exposure

48 Hrs After

  • If you have any dry or flaky skin, you can gently exfoliate with a washcloth to speed up recovery
  • If your skin still feels too sensitive, do not exfoliate yet; it will subside soon. Continue to hydrate and moisturize the skin 2x per day

3-5 Days After

  • Apply high-protection sunscreen daily
  • Focus on hydrating and moisturizing products

7+ Days After

  • Return to your regular skincare routine and enjoy the glow!
